If you've been following along for a while now, you'll know that I am here to give you easy, simple and cost effective ways to jazz up your property.
Whether your property may be for sale or a holiday rental, these are all tips you can take and use as your own to better your chances of making a bit more money out of your property.
- Incorporate Seasonal Plants and Flowers: Seasonal plants and flowers can add colour and life to your front entrance. Consider using potted plants or hanging baskets to introduce greenery and vibrant blooms. Choose plants that are low-maintenance and suitable for your climate to ensure they stay looking fresh and appealing. This may not be suitable for all situations, but you can even consider investing in the high-end faux plants (if you do, please clean the leaves from dust regularly!)
- Update Hardware and Fixtures: Replacing or updating front door hardware, such as the handle, knocker, and house numbers, can give your entrance a polished look. Choose hardware that complements the style of your home, whether it's sleek and modern or classic and ornate.
- Statement pieces: How about something that is bold, different and no maintenance? These handmade wire pears and apples are just gorgeous! You could also go for something like a tall statue, metal sculpture or something that won't be in the way, but says "Wow"
- Enhance Lighting: Good lighting not only adds to the safety and security of your home but also highlights its features. Install stylish light fixtures to illuminate the entrance. For added charm, consider using solar-powered lights or string lights to create a warm and welcoming glow. We know this has been a trend for a while, but I still think they are underrated! Just don't get the cheap $2 ones that stop working after a month!
- Decorate with a Stylish Wreath or Door Hanging: A wreath or decorative door hanging can add personality and charm to your front entrance. Choose a wreath that reflects the season or compliments the colour scheme of your home. For a unique touch, consider creating a custom wreath or hanging a decorative piece that aligns with your home's style.
These simple yet effective styling tips can make your front entrance more inviting and appealing, leaving a positive first impression on guests and potential buyers alike.
This blog was inspired by the request from a reader who wanted to update her front entrance, so shoutout to Marigold, I hope this answers all your questions!
